just a couple of weeks back I had the pleasurable job to photograph Snow White as a dancing performance. The production was choreographed by the dance studio DanceLoft and the performance took place in the Stadthof in Rorschach. A prelude to Christmas and it’s festivities.
I manged to get a feel for the choreography in the main rehearsal although without the light show, that would set the mood in the live performance.I had a lot of fun doing this and for the first time I relied exclusively on the Fuji X system to handle the project. I had my trusty Canon EOS 5Dmk2 at hand, but never resorted to use it, there was no need…
I did not use flash and relied exclusively on the stage lighting. I shot all images at ISO 2000, used the Kit lens and the 35mm 1.4 during one scene. I would have loved to own the 16- 55 f/2.8 Fuji Pro zoom, but I do not own that one. There was simply little time to change lenses. It was fast paced action and the Fuji XT-! worked quite reliably in continuous mode and zone or single point auto focus.
