Portrait Shooting with Mo
In the past week I shot some images with Mo. I had talked her into a photo shooting session maybe a month ago and in the past week we managed to coordinate our schedules…
Mo was fun to work with and many images turned out great!
I had scouted to location the day before and so I hoped for a clear and sunny morning.
I used the Fujinon 56mm f/1.2, and the 35mm f/1.4 for all images… These are the 2 lenses that make up my portrait kit. Both lenses keep showing great results over and over again. If the pictures are lacking, than it’s me, not the optics.
The faster sync time of a 250/ sec of the Fujifilm XT-2 over the 180/ sec of the XT-1 helps with the bright light conditions of summer. I was able to shoot at apertures around f/ 2 or f/ 2.2…
For illumination I used a Canon 580 EX-2 with a Cactus receiver attached in a Lastolite 24” Easy Box. A second Cactus trigger, set to trigger mode, was placed on the camera.
The black and white images were edited with Silver Efex-Pro 2
